Spring break?
The vernal equinox occurs when the Sun is aligned with the Earth's equator and can be observed vertically overhead. Generally this happens on March 20th or 21st in the Northern hemisphere. In 2012 it is on Tuesday, March 20. In 2013, it is on Wednesday, March 20.
