Was a habitable planet found?
A new study suggests that a rocky alien planet named Gliese 581 d is capable of supporting life as we know it. Initially thought to be too far from the dim red dwarf star (Gliese 581) to be habitable, the planets large size (seven times bigger than earth) suggest it may have a thicker atmosphere causing a greenhouse effect that may be able to sustain water. About Planet
A planet is a celestial body, apparently bigger than poor little Pluto, orbiting a star. They typically have semi-solid metalic core, and the rest of the planet can be either gaseous like Jupiter and Saturn, or more dense and solid like Earth and Mars.
