Was mountain dew ever called hillbilly piss?
Yes it was actually! In the 1970s through the late 1980s Mountain Dew had the crude nickname of "hillbilly piss" due to the carry-over bottle art and yellow coloring, but that usage has since fallen out of favor. Thanks, cha cha!

Mountain Dew is a citrus soft drink manufactured by PepsiCo. The original formula was developed in the 1940’s in the southern US by Bill (William) Jones. In 1964, the soft drink was distributed across the United States. As of October 15th, 2008 the soft drink logo was redesigned as a shortened version of the full name as just 'Mtn Dew'
