What all has america done to prevent terrorism?
A LOT more than we can list in one text. We've done countless things good and bad, some good things we've done is increased surveillance of terrorist networks, and killing Osama Bin Laden. An obvious bad example would be two wars and countless new government agencies that cost our nation billions of dollars and contribute to our massive debt today.

About Terrorism
Terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion. Individual terrorists tend to be motivated more by a desire for social solidarity with other members of their organization than by political platforms or strategic objectives. An abiding characteristic of terrorism is the indiscriminate use of violence against noncombatants for the purpose of gaining publicity for a group, cause, or individual.
About Osama Bin Laden
Osama bin Laden was the founder of international terrorist organization al-Qaeda. He was credited with the September 11th attacks and US embassy bombings in 1999. He was the on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List until his death on May 1, 2011 during a firefight with U.S. Special Forces soldiers outside of Abbottabad, a city in Pakistan. Obama's body was buried at sea soon after his death.
