About Aardvark
The aardvark, which is sometimes referred to as antbear or anteater, is a nocturnal mammal that is native to Africa. The aardvark is medium in size, and has burrowing habits similar to those of a groundhog. Elephant shrews, sirenians, tenrecs, hyaxes and elephants are the closest living relatives of the aardvark, and there is no close relation to the South American anteater.
