About Whiskey
Whiskey is a distilled alcohol, and depending on the type of Whiskey (Scotch, Moonshine, Burbon, Irish, etc.) can be made with rye, malted rye, barley, malted barley or corn. With the exception of Moonshine, (which isn’t aged at all) it is aged in burnt white oak barrels for anywhere from five to 22 years. All whiskeys are made from fermented grains and distilled to less than 95% alcohol.
