About Chess
Chess is an ancient board game for two players that is played on an 8x8 grid. Players attempt to 'checkmate' the opponent's king piece in order to win the game. It is possibly the world's most popular game but has only been mastered by a few select individuals. In 1997, 'Deep Blue,' was the first computer to defeat a World Chess Champion.
