In 1975 he had his first heart attack while mowing the lawn. His health continued to decline and he died during bypass surgery.

Heart attacks are scary things, and can happen to just about anyone, any time. They are the result of a stoppage of blood flow to the heart causing blood cells to die. This usually happens because an artery has been blocked by plaque made up of lipids and white blood cells. If heart attacks are left untreated they can result in severe damage to the heart or death.
