What does the scythe symbolize in Robert frost's poem mowing?
The meaning of the poem "Mowing" by Robert frost is that truth comes before understanding, and truth must be worked for. And so the challenge for the liver of life-and for the poem, and for the reader of poetry-is to work to embody that physical, factual, sensory truth.! The scythe is exactly as it seems in the poem. There really isn't any symbolism except that it is almost a part of him. ChaCha!
