What evidence supports the theory that plants evolved from multicellular green algae?
That would be the oraganismal theory of multicellularity. All land plants evolved from a singly type algae. Eons ago a slimy green algae washed ashore & was complex enough that it evolved into vegetation on land. All multicellular plants like corn, cabbage & all the other greenery came from 1 type of algae. ChaCha On!
