You could be creative and try a game of hangman to ask someone to a dance. Nothing like spelling it out for them!
When asking someone out choose your moment carefully and practice what you'll say in advance so that you don't appear tongue-tied.
One way to ask a girl out is to ask her to hang out with you instead. This can give you more results than saying the word date.
