An Irish Traveler, or 'white gypsies,' are members of a nomadic ethnic group and are widely regarded as being descendants from a race of pre-Celtic minstrels. Modern Travelers number around 25,000 in Ireland and live in trailer encampments and are thought to be thieves and troublemakers.
