What is Ambien CR?
Ambien CR (zolpidem) produced by Sanofi-Aventis, is used to act as a sedative or hypnotic. Dosage: Tablets: 5 and 10 mg. Tablet (extended release): 6.25 mg and 12.5 mg. Oral spray: 5 mg/spray. The most common side effects of zolpidem are drowsiness, dizziness, and a "drugged" feeling, which probably reflect the action of the drug.

About Ambien
Ambien is a sedative used for the short-term treatment of insomnia, which a disorder in which the patient has difficulty falling or staying asleep. The drug affects chemicals in your brain that could become unbalanced and affect sleeping habits. This medication is effective for treating insomnia, but also has some interesting side effects. For instance, there have been documented cases of users sleep walking, having conversations and even driving while on the medication and then have no recollection of ever doing any of these tasks. For this reason, it’s imperative for any sleep aid that it is only used when the patient can get a full seven to eight hours of sleep.
