What is Kwanzaa?
Kwanzaa is a week long celebration honoring African heritage and culture, beginning on Dec 26 and ending on Jan 1. It was created by Ron Karenga to give African Americans a chance to celebrate their history, culture, and ethos. Each day a candle on the kinara is lit to stand for the principle of that day.
