Hydrocodone or dihydrocodeinone is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from either of two naturally occurring opiates?codeine and thebaine. It is an orally active pain reliever and cough suppressant. Common side effects include dizziness, itching, lightheadedness, nausea, sweating, drowsiness, constipation, vomiting, and euphoria. Hydrocodone stays in your system for 3-4 days. ChaCha On!
