What is milkilins therory

Millikan's Oil-drop theory experiment, was the first direct and compelling measurement of the electric charge of a single electron. It was performed originally in 1909 by the American physicist Robert A. Millikan. Using a perfume atomizer, he sprayed tiny drops of oil into a chamber. Droplets could be observed at one side through a short focal distance telescope. To make droplets more visible he illuminated them from one side.

Millikan provided the most important proof of the new atomic theory. He provided the mass of the electron. Millikan went on to demonstrate the photoelectron effect, providing a valuable proof of Albert Einstein's equations. His experiments also aided both Einstein and Bohr in their later research efforts.
