What is passover?
One of the most widely observed Jewish holidays, Passover is a holy day and festival. It remembers the Exodus story, where ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. Passover begins at sundown on the 15th day of the month of Nisan. In 2011, it is on Monday, April 18 through Monday, April 25 and for 2012 on Friday, April 6 through Saturday, April 14.
