Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) produced by Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceuticals Inc., is used to treat narcotic dependence. It works by preventing withdrawal symptoms, since the buprenorphine is actually a type of narcotic itself. Dosage: 2 mg and 8 mg sublingualdosages. Drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, constipation, headache, nausea, or vomiting may occur.

Suboxone is a medicine doctors prescribe patients who are addicted to heroin or other opiates to help ease the severity of withdrawal. The patient will take it and slowly decrease the dosage over a period of months. The bad thing is Suboxone is still very addictive and will also cause severe withdrawals just like heroin. And unless you have a sponsor in a 12 step program, Suboxone won't help much. Painkillers cause hyperalgesia, only cold turkey helps bring the pain back down.
