What is the difference between leasing a house and renting a house?
Rental agreements usually have a year lease and then go month to month - the landlord owns the house and you have to abide by their rules. Buying is permanent; you own the home and can do whatever you want with it. You pay the full $$ of the house.

When you lease a home after your lease is up you are still given the option to purchase the home. Renters don't get this option.
