What is the difference between vegan and vegetarian? -.- What is the difference between vegan and vegetarian? -.-?
Vegetarians don't eat any meat products but, they do eat dairy products and eggs. Vegans on the other hand, don't consume any animal products at all. So, on top of no meat, they also don't eat eggs because they come from chickens and no dairy because that comes from cows. A 2002 poll found that 4% of Americans identify as vegetarians & 5% of vegetarians identify as vegans.

About Vegan
Vegans are people who, for ethical or dietary reasons, have sworn off the use and consumption of all animals and animal byproducts. Vegans go a step further than vegetarians because they consume purely plant-based foods, avoiding all meat, dairy, eggs and other animal-based products. Cheese, eggs, and other dairy and animal products are often still incorprated into a vegetarian diet, which is primarily concerned with avoiding meat.
