Vegan Vegetarians don't eat any meat products but, they do eat dairy products and eggs. Vegans on the other hand, don't consume any animal products at all. So, on top of no meat, they also don't eat eggs because they come from chickens and no dairy because that comes from cows. A 2002 poll found that 4% of Americans identify as vegetarians & 5% of vegetarians identify as vegans.
