Q:

What is the difference in the main ingredients of white wine and red wine

Answer

The main difference between red and white wines is the amount of tannins they have. Since tannins largely come from the grape skins, red wines (fermented with skins) have more of them than white wines. ChaCha!

White wines are made from the grape juice and grape skin of green, gold or yellowish colored grapes or from just the juice (not the skin) of select red grapes (as in some Champagnes). Red wine is made from whole red or purple grapes.
