About USA Patriot Act
The USA Patriot Act, commonly referred to as the ''Patriot Act'' is an Act of the U.S. Congress signed into law by George W. Bush on October 26, 2001. The law reduced restriction on law enforcement agencies' ability to search telephone, e-mail communications; as well as medical, financial and other records. The law has been criticized by the ACLU and other groups over the laws violation of privacy.
