Donald Rumsfeld is an American politician who served as Secretary of Defense under Gerald Ford and George W. Bush. He was a Congressman in Illinois from 1963 until 1969. He also was CEO of General Instrument, president of G.D. Searle & Company, and chairman of Gilead Sciences. He is known for his leadership after 9/11 and micromanagement of the Defense Department.
