Fish don't sleep like humans do, but they have a state of energy-saving rest. They do this mostly at night time. ChaCha!

Many fish "rest" or "sleep" during the day and are active at night instead, but almost all fish sleep.

Most all fish spend time in an energy-saving state at night that can be called "rest" & we might even call their behavior "sleep".

Some fish keep very still, experiencing a quiet period that you might call sleep. They do not have REM sleep like humans do!
