The baking soda we use for cooking is all made artificially. You add salt and limestone (calcium carbonate) in ammonia.

Baking soda is made from sodium hydrogen carbonate or sodium bicarbonate, NaHCO3, called Jyuso in Japanese. How else may we help?

With a chemical formula of NaHCO3, baking soda is a white powder with crystalline grains.
