Founded in 1838 as the ''Town of Kansas,'' Kansas City is the largest city in the state of Missouri. The city is often abbreviated as KC and with over 200 fountains has been nicknamed the City of Fountains.

The state of Missouri is located within the Midwestern United States. It is bordered to the north by Iowa and to the south by Arkansas. To the east you will find Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. To the west is Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma. Missouri has a humid climate. In the winters temperatures average in the 30’s while in the summer the temperatures range in the mid-80’s.
