About Montana
The state of Montana is found in the northwestern United States and is bordered by Canada, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Idaho. A third of the state is comprised of mountains of the Rocky Mountain range and the remainder is prairie lands. The climate of the state differs; the west sees mild summers and harsh winters while the eastern portion can have warmer summers and mild winters. The average temperatures of the state range from 86°F to 8°F.
About North Dakota
In the northern fringes of the Midwest region lies North Dakota. It is bordered on the north by Canada, to the east by Minnesota, to the south by South Dakota and to the west by Montana. The northern state experiences cold winters and warm summers. The eastern have of the state experiences more humidity than the western half of the state. In the winter the average temperatures are in the teens and the summer averages temperatures in the 70’s.
