About John F. Kennedy
John F. Kennedy Jr. was the 35th President of the United States. He was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald. His presidency corresponded with a national mood of optimism, and a time when a new generation took leadership from the hands of the World War II generation.
About Dallas
Dallas is the ninth-largest city in the nation and the number one visitor and leisure destination in Texas. It covers 343 square miles and has a population of around 1,300,000 people. Dallas was founded in 1841, later being incorporated as a city in February of 1856. Dallas has it all from a thriving culinary scene, leading arts district, countless luxury accommodations, professional sports, trendy entertainment districts and endless shopping opportunities.
About Texas
The state of Texas is found in the south central United States. It is bordered to the north by Oklahoma and Arkansas, to the east by Louisiana, to the south by the country of Mexico and to the west by New Mexico. Because of the large size of the state, the climate in Texas varies greatly. The northern and the panhandle often see colder winters than the gulf coast. In the areas near Louisiana it can be very rainy while in western Texas the climate is dry. Average temperatures vary dependent on location. Winter temperatures can average as low as 29 degrees Fahrenheit and summer temperatures can average as high as 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
