Where was the Constitution written?
The US Constitution was created in Philadelphia by state delegates at a Constitutional Convention. The Virginia Plan, written by James Madison, was used as a starting point. The men representing the original states looked at British, French, and Roman political ideas and debated for 5 months on what should and should not be in it before finishing in 1787.
