Saint Patrick, born in 387 and died on March 17, 492 or c 460, is the most recognized patron saint of Ireland or Apostle of Ireland. Legends say that St. Patrick tought the Irish people the concept of the Holy Trinity by using a three-leaved clover (shamrock) to represent 'three divine persons in the one God'.
