American Idol 5/5: Jacob Lusk is the unlucky contestant to go home this week. Lusk struggled through his rendition of No Air and Love Hurts and when the season high 60 million votes were counted he was sent packing. Lauren Alaina was the other contestant in the bottom two. American Idol 5/4: The hopefuls sang twice on tonight's episode and for Jacob and Hayley, it was a blessing! Both of which performed horribly during their first song and led the judges to question if they could get to the next level. The judges praised Lauren and Scotty by telling them they both are in it to win it; perhaps foreshadowing the finale? Sheryl Crow was the guest mentor this week and offered lots of wise words. James sang 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow' and stole the show; the judges were impressed! Lauren sang 'Where You Lead', did alright, and was mentored by Miley Cyrus.
