Who was John Locke?
John Locke, widely known as the Father of Liberalism, was an English philosopher regarded as one of the most influential of Enlightenment thinkers. His theory of mind is often cited as the origin of modern conceptions of identity and self. Locke's political theory was founded on social contract theory; he believed that human nature allowed men to be selfish.
