Who was Paul Revere?
Paul Revere (December 1734 - May 10, 1818) was a silversmith and patriot during the American Revolution. He was one of many messengers who alerted the people of Massachusetts to British troop movements. Although a great patriot, his role in the revolution was hugely amplified after his death in the poem, 'Paul Revere's Ride' by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
