There isn't an actual "winner" in the Olympics, however, the United States won the most medals in 2008. We won a total of 110.
It depends on how you look at it. Total Gold Medals went to China with 51. But in total medals, it was the USA with 110.
If you judge it by medal count, the United States had the most. However, China had by far the most gold medals specifically.
China had the most gold medals with 51 but a total off 100 medals and USA took the most medals with 110.
