Sadly, I can find no mention of Marysville, WA flags being flown at half staff. It is either a mistake, or someone local has died.

I could not find a reason for flags to be at half mast today. They are sometimes done locally to honor someone in town. ChaCha!

Flags were half mast to honor police officers who have lost their lives and today to honor fallen soldiers for Memorial Day.

May 15, 2009 has been designated as Peace Officers Memorial Day. Flags are to fly at half-staff to honor fallen officers. ChaCha!
