Why are the flags at half mass today?
Flags will fly at half staff across Minnesota today in honor of Army Specialist Joseph Alan Kennedy. Kennedy, a native of Inver Grove Heights, was killed in combat in Afghanistan on April 15.

In honor of the life and service of Lance Cpl. Kevin Cornelius, Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland proclaimed today that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff. ChaCha!
