Why can male seahorses give birth but still be considered boys?
A female seahorse has female organs & carries the eggs. Males give birth because the females deposit eggs into his brood pouch.

About Birth
Birth is an event in which a new being emerges from another being. Among animals, a birth can be from an egg or a ''live birth,'' as in the case of mammals. For human, birth has become less dangerous for mothers; but even with modern medicine, there are risks. A healthy birth is more likely if the mother is under a doctor's from the moment she knows she is pregnant.
