Flying gave them the ability to escape their predators, as well as make them better hunters.

Bird's fly because it was most advantageous for getting food and finding shelter and surviving and they are built for it! ChaCha!

Many birds fly to migrate to warmer temperatures. Others fly for protection from predators since birds are prey animal. Ask ChaCha

Because it's faster than walking and they can't drive cars. Not all birds can fly, though. Ostriches and penguins can't. ChaCha!
