Why do hot air balloons rise?

Anonymous

Answer

In a hot air balloon, when the gas is heated it causes the balloon to rise. As the volume of gas increases, it fills the balloon. If the air continues to heat up, it expands and flows out of the hole in the bottom of the balloon. Thanks for aksing!
