WhY is weed illigal?
There are several reasons why weed was made illegal. First of all Marijuana is a mind altering drug that causes impairment. Other reason; greed, racism, hatred of jazz, but mostly Harry J. Anslinger. He was the first head of the Bureau of Narcotics and his friend William Randolf Hearst had massive timber holdings, and they did not want hemp paper overtaking paper made from wood pulp.
