Would a cucumber float in water?

Topics: Food & DrinkWaterVegetables, Compounds & Mixtures, Chemistry, Science

Answer

Not usually. Due to defective growth, some cucumbers may become hollow, and will indeed float. They can still be used for relishes, but not for pickles. A normal cucumber, however, will not float.
