30 Seconds To Mars

30 Seconds To Mars is a popular alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 1998 by actor Jared Leto and his brother Shannon. They have released three full length albums to date with the most recent being 2009’s 'This is War.'

About 30 Seconds To Mars

30 Seconds To Mars was formed in 1998 by the Leto brothers, Shannon and Jared and lead guitarist Tomo Milicevic.

The band released its self-titled debut album in 2002 which peaked at No. 107 on the Billboard 200 charts. The single ''Capricorn (A Brand New Name)'' peaked at No. 31 on the Hot 100 and received positive reviews from both critics and fans alike.

The band's second studio album, 'A Beautiful Lie,' was released in 2005 and went certified platinum, selling 1.2 million copies. The four singles from the album ''Attack,'' ''The Kill,'' ''From Yesterday'' and ''A Beautiful Lie'' all peaked high on the Billboard charts.

Their most recent album 'This Is War' was released in 2009 to anxious fans who bought over 67,000 copies within the first week. It immediately launched the album to No. 18 on the Billboard 200. The primary single, ''Kings and Queens'' peaked at No. 1 on the alternative charts.
