Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert, born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 29, 1982, is a Grammy Award-nominated American singer and fashion icon who was the runner-up on the eighth season of the hit television show 'American Idol.'

About Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame on the eighth season of American Idol. He came very close to becoming the first openly homosexual winner of the show, but finished in second place.

Lambert was born in Indianapolis, Indiana but moved to San Diego when he was very young. He graduated from Mount Carmel High School where he was actively involved in musical theater and stage acting. While working internationally as a stage actor and singer, he auditioned for the eighth season of American Idol.’ He went received positive reviews during his time on the show, and ended the season as the runner-up to the winner.

After American Idol,' Adam was signed to RCA records and started working on his first album, For Your Entertainment,' which was released in October of 2009. He won a People's Choice Award in 2009 for Choice Male Reality/Variety Star, and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2010 for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his single, ''Whataya Want From Me.'' He also performed on his first international headlining tour, The Glam Nation Tour, in 2010.
