Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway entered the spotlight playing characters who were both envied and admired by young girls everywhere – the titular dowdy teen-turned-princess in Disney’s ‘The Princess Diaries,’ as well as the Cinderella-esque ‘Ella Enchanted.’ As the doe-eyed brunette matured, so did the types of roles she selected. She gained both fame and critical acclaim for playing a cowboy’s wife in the the Oscar-winning ‘Brokeback Mountain,’ as well as for playing a fashion journalist in the comedy ‘The Devil Wears Prada.’ Hathaway also made everyone forget about Halle Berry when she skillfully portrayed Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) in the Batman flick ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’ However, her heart-wrenching performance as Fantine in the 2012 musical film ‘Les Miserables’ was the one that won her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and cemented her as an A-list actress. Just try to watch her sing ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ without melting into a puddle of tears - it's no easy task!
