Brad Pitt, born William Bradley Pitt on December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, is an Academy and Emmy Award-nominated actor who is best known for his roles as Louis de Pointe du Lac in 'Interview with a Vampire,' Jeffrey Goines in '12 Monkeys,' Tyler Durden in 'Fight Club,' Rusty Ryan in 'Ocean's Eleven,' John Smith in 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith,' Benjamin Button in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' and Billy Beane in 'Moneyball.'

About Brad Pitt

A native of Oklahoma who grew up in Springfield, MO, Brad Pitt graduated from Kickapoo High School and went to the University of Missouri and majored in Journalism. Quitting school just two credits short of a degree, he went to California in hopes of becoming an actor.

Pitt married Jennifer Aniston in July 2000 and they divorced in October 2005. Following his divorce, he began a relationship with his 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' costar Angelina Jolie. The pair have claimed that they will marry when it is legal for everyone in America to get married.

Pitt was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1995 for '12 Monkeys,' and Best Actor in 2008 for 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.' He was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 2001 for 'Friends.' Pitt also won a Teen Choice Award for Best Action Actor in 2004 for 'Troy,' and MTV Movie Awards for Best Performance - Male and Most Desirable Male in 1994 for 'Interview with the Vampire,' Most Desirable Male in 1995 for Seven, and Best Fight in 2005 for 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith.' He was the first man ever to be named ''Sexiest Man Alive'' twice by People Magazine, both in 1994 and in 2000.
