Cadillac

Cadillac

Cadillac is an American manufacturer of luxury automotives, and is the second oldest American manufacturer overall. It was originally founded in 1902 by Henry Leland, and was named after his ancestor, Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac. It is owned and operated by parent company General Motors.

About Cadillac

Cadillac adopted the title as America's premier Luxury vehicle early in the company's history. Cadillac demonstrated a successful way of mass production with interchangeable parts and the invention of the Phillips screw and driver. Cadillac set the standard in the automotive industry by inventing electric starting, electric lighting, air conditioning and the V8 engine, all of which are still used today.

The luxury and design of a Cadillac quickly help make the automaker an icon of American success. The cars are styled by designers opposed to engineers and use top of the line technology and performance features. Cadillac incorporates the highest standard of production and luxury into all of the vehicles that carry the name.
