The Chilcotin people, also known as the Tsilhqot'in, are a Northern Athabascan First Nations people and are the most southern of the Athabascan speaking people. The English meaning of the name is roughly translated as 'People of the Chilcotin River'.

The Tsilhqot'in (also Chilcotin, Tsilhqut'in, Tsinlhqot_in, Chilkhodin, Tsilkotin, Tsilkotin) are a Northern Athabaskan First Nations people that live in British Columbia, Canada. They are the most southern of the Athabaskan-speaking aboriginal peoples in British Columbia.
