Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

Christmas lights are one of the most festive and cheery traditions of the Christmas Holiday. Christmas lights are usually turned on around the Thanksgiving weekend and continue well into January. Sometimes stores and residences begin earlier to get a head start on the season.

About Christmas Lights

Christmas lights can be seen across the country on homes, businesses, town squares and many other places. Many cities and towns hold contests for the best decorated house and business. People come from miles around to see the famous Christmas light displays in our country like the National Christmas Tree in Washington D.C., the tree and lights at Rockefeller Center in New York City, Miracle on 34th Street in Baltimore, Maryland, and the Magical Night of Lights in Lake Lanier Georgia which is considered the World's Largest Light Extravaganza.

Another famous Christmas light display is the private residence of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio. His home video took YouTube by storm when he posted his home with his dazzling display of Christmas lights and music. His Christmas Lights were so popular that he gained national attention when they were featured in a Miller Light commercial in 2005. This hobby of his turned into a career designing designing and installing Christmas Light shows for other people.

No matter where you live you will be able to enjoy Christmas lights just by driving down the street or going to your town square. You can always check online for the closest light display near you.
