Christoph Waltz (born 4 October 1956) is an Austrian-German actor. Internationally, he is known for his works with American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. He received recognition for his portrayal of SS-Standartenfhrer Hans Landa in the 2009 film, "Inglourious Basterds," and his portrayal of Dr.King Schultz in the 2012 film, "Django Unchained."

For both, he won the Academy, BAFTA and Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actor. For Inglorious Basterds, he also won the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.
