Commercial

Commercial advertisements, once merely an inconvenience, are now going viral. The point of an ad is to raise sales for a product by introducing it to potential costumers through television, internet, and other media. With the internet age in full-swing, TV ads are becoming funnier and more involved as advertisers try to make them go viral on the internet.

About Commercial

A commercial is a message paid for by a company or organization in order to get word out on a specific brand or product to a targeted audience. Commercials usually refer to advertising placed in broadcast media as opposed to print; whereas printed advertisements are usually referred to as 'ads'. Commercials are most often created to run on TV or radio.

A big "commercial" time of the year is during the Super Bowl or other various large televised events. During those time slots, commercials can cost millions and millions of dollars for 30 seconds of airtime. Advertisers love these events simply because of the amount of people watching the broadcast - it's a perfect opportunity to show a vast audience their product.

Advertisers want consumers to remember their brand or product, which is why marketing agencies come up with special jingles and catch-phrases that consumers can relate to the products.
